Nice cars, gents, what size tires and offsets are you running Aaron, if you don't mind sharing...two fine examples of Mk III's! They don't rub, do they?
Way to rep the MK II's. I sold mine and bought a MK III, but yours makes me miss it alot. It should move along smartly with the 7M dialed in. Nice head work, looking forward to seeing it all together! Don't forget to flow test the injectors, and a new oil pump, perhaps? Think about a 1 pce...
Is anyone currently running these wheels? Any pics on the car if so? I'd like to buy some, but am unsure of max widths front and rear, and offset. I was thinking 17X9 front, and 17X10 rear, +35 mm offset. I don't want them to rub though. I'll be using Eibach blues and Tokicos. If anyone has the...
I'd do a hardness test on both, and ensure they aren't warped. Go from there, they both look useable, if above is good. I kept my head with stock valves, did my own port and polish, and used Compcams valve springs. It seems to flow just fine. I'm not sure if the added expense is warranted for...
Talk to Randy, (BIC). His Soup is beautiful, and has the trim mostly deleted. I don't think it was all bondo'ed though. I believe he welded metal in, then filled the rest.

Jeezus, Dave, what a shitty moderator, you could at least fly over there and do it for him!:slap: I mean, c'mon it's not like it's easy to find this info or anything....
If it's balanced I can't see it being that much different. I like my 6M just fine. These are pretty smooth power plants no matter which crank, imho, Ryan. At 500 hp, there's not much time to think about anything except the next gear anyways, sí ?!
They are dowels, and they are super cheap to replace. (like 2 bux). Just protect the block, pull them, and buy new ones. Don't forget new squirters, as well! gl
If the bearings you bought are all the same "oversize", thats most likely the problem. When these motors were originally built, they used inhouse bearings made to suit after measurements. They could be different by small increments, hence the tightening of certain cylinders. I'd recheck all the...
I personally use the RC 550's, but they're not as cheap as stock...alot of people have used 550's with the Lex AFM. I do, and it works well for me. You'd also need an AFPR, good fuel pump and a wideband among other things...
for injector cleaning, RC among others...
