I'm always wary of using old fuel. If the tank was 3/4 full, then mixing in 3 gals. is still quite a high % of old. I'd drain the tank and put in fresh...old gas can do bad things to the lines. gl.

I'd pull the codes first, and the wire sounds like the oil pressure sender. Is the oil pressure gauge working? gl.

You can use an auto ECU and harness and switch to a manual trans. I don't see any reason why you couldn't use an auto harness with a manual ECU as well. I have a chance to buy a pair of folding mirrors, can anyone explain what all I need to make these work on a LHD car? Is there a control box needed as well as the mirrors and switch? Is there alot of wiring involved? I'll try to search some more to see if this has been covered, thanks.

If you buy a Targa, replace all the seals, take apart targa and rebead all the edges, find a targa brace, enjoy the whole "convertible cruise" without flex or leaks. It takes a bit of work, but for those good cruise days, it makes it quite enjoyable.

This oil question has been kicked around like a football. If you want factual info, read Jdub's tech series on oil. 30 wt. being "too thin" and all is a fallacy in this particular case. The 7m is a relatively high flow low pressure system.

Try locking and unlocking the driver's door 4 or 5 times in succession with the key. Sometimes this will reset the factory alarm.

These engines don't have thick walls to begin with, so hp is derived mainly from boost. Keep the bore as minimal as possible for the next size up of pistons you want to use. If damage is minimal, you might be able to just hone it and use different rings with stock size pistons. The Ross pistons...
