Is it possible the machine shop or person assembling the engine forgot to put the front core plug into the block? If that is missing you will drain coolant right into the crankcase. With the oil drain plug off, does coolant pour out as fast as it goes in? How sure are you that it is the head...
Welcome! I've always had a thing for Cressidas (never had one though). The check engine light should illuminate with the key on and engine off, if it doesn't, you've got a problem with the bulb/circuit!
Well I ended up purchasing an aftermarket unit from Napa, I think it is a Spectra brand unit. Not all that happy with the build quality. What really worries me is that one of the pipe ends appears to be slightly oblong. Considering there is just an o ring to seal this connection, I am afraid it...
Not sure what makes you think they are withholding your money for good? I've used paypal for many transactions and have nothing but good things to say, but I am not making many transactions in a short period or running a business or anything so I can't speak for that. I have had my account...
The fin density of the ebay intercoolers is pathetic in comparison to some of the high end name brand units. I have only seen pics, but there is an obvious difference. That being said, I have an ebay intercooler(cxracing) and it works fine for me, but I am only running around 375 RWHP through a...
You probably hooked up your vacuum line to ported vacuum. Make sure that the hose for your gauges are hooked up to manifold vacuum, if they are hooked to any of the ports on the throttle body, it isn't going to read properly.
Just make sure you use a genuine Toyota gasket, they are much better quality than the aftermarket ones. Don't be shocked if you find one or more studs loose/stripped and be prepared to do some thread repair if you have to.
Couldn't tell you about different years interchanging, but I know you can get the headlight stalk alone from Toyota, without buying the entire switch assembly. Basically, you can remove JUST the stalk part with the headlight switch and put a new one in without changing the turn signal switch...
If you want to rule out the wiring, do a volt drop on the circuit. First ensure the battery is fully charged and in good working order. With the key in the crank position put one volt meter lead on the ground terminal of the battery and one on the starter case, shouldn't be any more than about...
Leakdown test showed my BHG when I had one clear as day (radiator started overflowing when I pumped air into cylinders 5 and 6). The block tester didn't show a thing.
No idea if you are this Tom guy or not, but going in and trying to make a point in effort to come off as more educated/higher/better in some way is just as stupid in my opinion. This Tom seems well aware that there is no structural benefit of the strut bar, but starts off with "What's the point...
11437-45010 is the part number for a new bushing. Looks as though it needs to be driven in from the bottom, so the pump needs to come out.
