Yes there is foam for a brief period after turning the AC off.
BTW, this is me after driving away from the place :D

No bubbles in the sight glass, it looked like solid liquid to me. The heater is not even hooked up, so it can't be mixing heated air. I have my glove box out and I can visually see the recirculation door open all the way when switching to recirculation. Next time I will try to go out and see if...
This is a red flag IMO. When they say they checked it and everything is "fine", that worries me. Thats exactly what my machinist said about my oil shaft bearings, and I didn't trust him, so I measured them myself and they had .004" of clearance. He charged me to check them too... When I asked...
Got it charged up today! Wasn't expecting much but man this thing is about the same as it was lol. Still takes a long time to get cold and still doesn't get that cold. When I went to pay, the tech reported 40 PSI low side and 210 PSI high side with 62 degree vent temp. I told the cashier that...
OK cool, it held a vacuum for 12 hours so it should be good to go. I triple vacuumed it just because. Getting it professionally charged in a couple days.
Stop scaring me JJ you had me thinking this evap box was coming out again :icon_bigg
That's where the bulb goes. There is an indentation in the suction line right there for the bulb to sit in, and that's where it was the first time I pulled the evap, still had the original foam insulation. I...
Time for more show off:naughty:
I even went as far as insulating as much of the suction line as possible, including the section that goes past the exhaust. Trying to get every ounce of cooling out of this thing.
One thing I also did is block the gap underneath the condenser in order to...
The Bosch bpv makes a "hooting" or "howling" noise at part throttle, right around 0 psi on the vacuum gauge. Swap that Bosch for a stock valve and see if it goes away.
Both fittings on my car are in fact the same. My R12 mastercool manifold gauges came with 1/4" SAE ffl auto shut off hoses and they screw right on.:dunno: Hell I could install the red hose on the low pressure port if I wanted to. Maybe it's a year thing? Keep in mind the 86.5 seems to be a very...
That is the pulsation dampener, it doesn't set your fuel pressure. If you look at the opposite side of the rail you will see the fuel pressure regulator witha vac line coming off. But yes, it looks like someone did mess with that, there is supposed to be a screw in the top, and if its leaking...
