Iv had to do this before and it was a pain. The driver side wasnt bad and didnt take long. The turbo gets in the way on the passenger side. I ended up pulling the turbo/down pipe out to be able to get to all the bolts. I had to go at it from both top and bottom.

I knew I was leaving something out. Im sure theres more I forgot to mention.

If your going to paint the bay, then definitely pull the motor/tranny out and do it properly the first time. I didnt know you were painting it.

It honestly seems like too much trouble to pull the engine out just to replace your hoses and clean the engine bay unless you plan on doing a rebuild. If that's the case, depending on the mileage and if its had a recent rebuild, then you need to have the engine/head machined and prepped for...
