Well, if you have an 88, and you say the one you just purchased has different mounts, than I would say the one you just purchased is newer based on the mounts. However 89+ mounts could have been placed on a pre 89 engine.

Sounds like the engine is from an 89+ supra, the reason for the different motor mounts. As far as the throttle body, auto's had different throttle bodies than manual cars. Try posting pictures, it would help us determine what parts you need to swap.

Sounds like your almost there. Just remove the oil lines from either the turbo itself or the block. Probably easiest from the turbo, if you can get to to nuts. Did you unbolt it from the exhaust manifold? There are four nuts holding it to the manifold.
I just purchased a used boss turbo and the previous owner welded the internal wg closed and removed the actuator. Is there a benefit to using an external wg on this turbo? He modded a factory exhaust manifold to use an external wg on it.
