I am actually interested, as i have to relocate my battery before it gets intercooler pipes, and becomes roadworthy. Just looking for some solid information.
There are a couple write-ups here that include grounding the battery in the trunk, and no issues mentioned. Only theory posts are...
Lol at spare 7m.
If you are confident in the maintenance of your car, and not in denial about BHG, you should be fine. Happy gaming.
Bring some coolant, at least.
I have read allot of conflicting info on this^
So this is what can happen?
Cant you do a voltage drop test, between the battery and motor, to verify?
I am interested to see how this pans out.
You sure about that? Try it on your car.

Pull the valve covers, check the cam and valve clearances.
Replace any seal and belt you can get your hands on,
Install <this step is not going to be cheap
IMO there is no need to pull the head.
If inspections check out, youll have an extremely...

Have you pulled codes?
Does the key send power to the small wire on the starter? This power should go through plug B1 pin 12, in the ecu area.
Did you bypass the NSS?
Do some testin before wrenchin. Likely not a starter issue.
On a supra with the 7m removed, the alt control wires are still in the engine bay, near the fuse box. My cut 1jz alt, had similar coloring, to the stock alt controll circuit, only an extension was needed. Not sure if this is the same with the cressy, but id bet it is.
I think this thread has an answer for you.
