The screw allows unmetered air through the AFM so it kind of "tricks" the AFM into letting you run more boost without hitting fuel cut.

Do you use the stock ignitor with that setup?

Yep it gets that hot.. I have all heat shields and the stock plastic and rubber IC pipe over the turbo is too hot to touch after a drive.

You can port it a mm or two. The flapper is bigger than the hole.
