What are the coils mounted to? What is that "black stuff" surrounding them?

That looks really cool! What are they mounted to?? How are the coils connected to the plugs? Can you get a COP style boot for them?

Easiest way to tell is to look at the motor mounts that were on your 7M. Were they square (86.5-88) or round (89+)?

The 1JZ was never available in any vehicle stateside. You'd have a helluva time proving otherwise to your smog cops.

IMO, it's too flat and doesn't flow with the rest of the car. What's with the cut-out in the middle? A third brake light on the donor car?

Might need to heat the DR's a bit more, too!

I've removed countless remote starters from vehicles that have been installed for 10+ years and haven't seen ANY with a broken solder joint...and some of them were pretty horrific installs. I see no problem with soldering on a wiring harness if you use the proper amount of heat and solder.

I'm in the midst of a 1JZ swap and am trying to figure out how far I will need to extend the body plugs...will it be 18" just like the ECU plugs? The reason I ask is because my car is 1000kms away from me, but I have the 1JZ harness and two 7MGTE donor harnesses with me and would like to have...

It would definitely be another great option for those wanting to go standalone. Damn good price too, especially for its versatility! If I didn't have and MS built for the 1JZ, I would be more interested. I will follow the development of this; who knows, I could end up ditching the MS and want...

Seth, I don't mean to sound like a complete n00b/ricer, but the BOV in that vid sounds like it's the same as the green Eclipse in F&F 1. lol
