The info is all here on the forums - you just have to take the time to study it. It's a little overwhelming at first diving in to a car or swap you're not familiar with, but give yourself a couple solid weeks of research and it'll start to make sense.

I've read that it was tried years ago in Japan by Greddy and the results weren't all that good, but we all know you have to take what you read on the internet with a grain of salt.
I haven't seen anything recent/conclusive about it.
You got a real steal on the car.
Official specs were 320 for USDM and 280 for JDM but the JDM's are also supposedly quite underrated. Really it doesn't matter much unless you're keeping the motor stock.
The final engine choice really comes down to you. Do your research, price everything...
I show 90119-08302 for the JZA70, while the MA70 is 90119-08322. Not sure why the difference, maybe the JZA70 ones are in fact longer. I would think they'd be the same. Is the SPEC pressure plate really that thick?
The paint looks good. The kit really isn't my cup of tea, but it looks like a quality job. Those wheels are pretty sweet.
JDM resistor pack?
That GT45 :aigo: will be nowhere near its potential with 550's and a piggyback. Unless you have some lofty goals and plan to spend some serious cash to...
Why only 500 with a 66mm turbo? You seem pretty excited about the fact that it's 650hp capable, so why not take advantage of that?
You can squeeze 500 whp out of 550's but you'll be right on the edge. However, your turbo has more potential than that, I say up the fuel to match. I would say...
Disassembly ensues.
Josh came by and gave me a hand pulling the motor on Wednesday. I have been at it since then stripping the car down. The engine bay is almost entirely stripped. The blue tape is to mark the holes that I intend to weld shut. The thought has crossed my mind to do the engine...
Well it doesn't matter which wire you cut, either one is going to break the circuit.
I think the best thing you can do is just to try cutting one. If it has adverse effects, solder, heatshrink, and forget.
Edit: Didn't see drewgo's reply. I don't understand what you're looking for beyond his...
Pink wire doesn't really apply here since the JZA70 uses a single-wire signal.
You're kind of on your own here unless someone else who's already done it chimes in. The JZZ30 ECU might not play nice without a speed signal.
And a nose piece and B-pillars.
The MKII guys are getting them made by KCG (Key Composites Group), the OEM for Chaser. They made the hood that the targa is sitting in front of in my pic.

I thought about mentioning it here but...
