Yes, I do. But you could always ask the owner, I'm just speculating :)
I used Dupli-Color self-etching primer, followed by METALCAST MC-100 Ground Coat on my aluminum parts that I didn't polish. The finish is great but keep in mind that like anything from a rattle can, it doesn't hold up to...
On a MA70 it is the black coffee can looking thing on the passenger side by the turbo elbow and ABS pump (if you have ABS).
On the JZA70 it is a much smaller black plastic box that is on the passenger side firewall (but it is RHD so it is our driver side).
If you have neither, and don't...
Thanks Lance. That means a lot to me coming from you. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get it finished.
Here are a few quick camera phone snaps of the bumper in the current state:
I still have a lot of finish work to do but I think I've got the design pretty much squared away.
... And the final 2. My girlfriend took a few too, I'll get those up a bit later.
It was nice seeing and meeting everyone. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to take off Saturday morning.
I guess I should clarify that I didn't intend to discourage the use of a catch can (I run one myself) but just that the connection to the intake itself isn't the important part.
As tlo86 said, it is very important that there is adequate venting to the crankcase. When the intake is under vacuum...
Josh-
The resistances shouldn't be infinite. The knock sensors are actually just condenser microphones. I don't see a resistance spec in the TEWD but given that they both measure the same I think they're probably fine.
The breather is routed to the intake mostly for emissions reasons. The amount of vacuum at that point in the system is negligible. If you can't make it work, just use a breather filter on the valve cover port.
