    Cam pin/gear install.

Holdover from the MKII. You aligned the gears and the cams seperately and then installed the pin. It's a way to degree the cams slightly.

    Gurren Lagann!!!

Hmmm, let's see, got every HG Wing Gundam kit, every HG Eva kit (also the PG Eva 1), and lots of MG kits. MG was awesome until I did my first PG, now I'm spoiled and want only PG kits  Most of them are still in storage as this house doesn't have nearly as much room to display them.

    Gurren Lagann!!!

I liked SEED and 00. They're all good in their own way (there's also the main time line and alternate universes to deal with). Oh, and yeah, you could say I like mecha... (that's well over a grand on that shelf, and that's only a small sample of the kits I have built)

    MHG question

Threads MUST be chased int he block for studs. They use the entire threaded hole, while bolts only use about half of it.

    Corn?

    MHG question

Don't forget about the risk of annealing the head.

Can the power steering pumps front seal be replaced without removing the shaft?

It looks thicker than a normal oil seal, so it might have to come completely apart to pull it off. Do you have the new seal to take pics of?

    Cup Holders

Too low, at an angle, and would hit the shifter. Someone tried it a lokng time ago. Best is to use bottles if you bring drinks. If you're going through a drive through, bring a cupholder, and get the cup holder a drink too :p My mom's miata has the same issue with crappy cupholders...

Finally swapped my 1987 taillights for 89+

I did it chemically, and it's not perfect (and it still took forever). Soda blasting would make quick work of it though.

    Carrier bearing or 1-piece driveshaft?

For starters, the substituted reality is yours (nice strawman). Engineering is about the numbers. Or do computer models work off of magic? Even better, you apparently don't understand how the equation works and that the variables are known. Also, a bee flys because it produces lift on the...

    Carrier bearing or 1-piece driveshaft?

That's all I'm seeing. You were proven wrong without a shadow of a doubt. You talk about being an engineer, but then decide numbers don't work...

headlights stay on in every switch position

Sounds like the integration relay is going failing. Could be related to the HIDs, but maybe not.

1991 Toyota Pickup 4x4 BROKEN HEAD BOLTS

FTFY My old 22R in my truck was an early one, which didn't have that issue (timing chain guides). Damn thing is the definition of a beater motor, it just never quits.

    drilled and slotted flywheel??

Hmmm... Thought Evolution Industries held a patent on slotted flywheels. Also, that's slotted and dimpled, not crossdrilled. That flywheel has been around for a while (just wasn't slotted/dimpled), and previously was advertised as SFI approved (though we doubted it was on the forums).

Finally swapped my 1987 taillights for 89+

Gotta pull the center section off, and there will be a nut on each one that holds it on from the back IIRC.

1991 Toyota Pickup 4x4 BROKEN HEAD BOLTS

The torque sequence on those bolts is reminiscent of a TTY bolt, so maybe if they were reused and bottomed out or something I could see it causing the issue.
