The modern ones are much faster and better drawn. SEED would be an excellent starter. The originals are slow moving, but it shows war a lot better than anything else out there as there really isn't a good and bad side.

Shifter should be close to the steering wheel for performance driving, case in point:

Turbo oil seals are labyrinth seals, they don't actually seal against the pressure. That's why the drain is so important, if there is a backup of any kind, you will leak oil out of the turbo.

Yeah, the timing isn't adjustable now that I think about it (one of the quirks of the JZ engines). Still, sounds like something changed, I'd be checking all the connections. If it's a mechanical issue like a vac leak, the emanage isn't going to be much help, and if it is, it's just a bandaid...

How many miles? It's normal to burn oil on an old engine. (every engine burns oil, it's just if it's noticable)

Remember, don't overtighten the fasteners or you'll just distort the housing and they'll leak at the seam between the lense and the housing (don't ask me how I know)

Have a new sunroof installed. They're all around the same size, if it's a big issue, get a larger one. Targa cars have a HELL of a lot different in the construction of the unibody. Not saying it can't be done, but to do it right would take more than the cost of just swapping shells to a targa...
