don't know, but i ordered a set last week or the week before, can't remember... it was too much alcohol ago.
i'll be getting the skirts coated, and shooting for about 500hp, i'm sure they will hold up, if people are running the stockers at 500
making thread to keep track of all my crap. right now i'm just working on polishing stuff while motor is at the machine shop
valve covers before:
valve covers after removing ridges and polishing:
stock ct-26 compressor housing after removing lettering and polishing...
yeah i talked to him a few weeks ago, but it's not the 125mph that scares me.... it's getting the ticket for going 125+ if i wanna go fast, i'll just hop on the motorcycle, i've been clocked at over 160 before, cops usually don't even waste their time :evil2:
do it everytime it rains in my cobalt, the filter is no more than 14-15" off the ground in the fenderwell, right behind the foglight. never once ever had a problem, and i can see all maf/injector/timing and about 40 other readouts in realtime.
6" 3m radial 50 grit (green) disk -- these are actually made for jewelers, but work amazing on any type of soft metal, then 220 silicon carbide sandpaper on an orbital to smooth everything out, then the 3m disk again, then dremel everything out with a 180 grit abrassive disk, hand polish with...
upgraded intakes, headers, k&n filters... all those things are proven to help out with power and the big guys don't even consider it. there are hundreds of things manufacturers could do to cars, but they don't for cost reasons.
(i'm not siding with the spark plugs, just stating facts)
i figured since the valve covers looked good after grinding off the ridges and polishing, i would do the same to the turbo. i ground off all the lettering on the turbo and polished it too. this turned out very nice imho
