same as before, i used a bench grinder and took the ridges down to about 1/16, then used some 60grit on an orbital to shave them down the rest of the way so i didn't gouge the metal around the ridges
was bored again today and started polishing the valve covers, i was having some issues getting everything out from between the three little ridges that were on top of it, so i took a grinder to them and removed the issue completely. i think the smoother appearence looks better now,
