cool. my engine guy said i could "clean up" the intake, i wasn't sure about the exhaust. i don't trust myself to do the head, i'll leave that to the experts. :) unfortunately, he said he has 24 hours in my buddies 7m head. :( he's running a big t4 turbo, 272 cams, forged internals, etc...

any "good" tuner should be able to tune a supra. if your turbo is still ok, i would go with the lex-550 combo. you won't believe the difference it makes. it's like a whole different car. if you haven't done it already, get a good downpipe and exhaust. i highly recommend the bic ddp, and full 3"...

i'm already polishing everything i can get my hands on. i like shiny stuff. lol i'm just trying to get everything i can out of the parts i have, and from the a ct based turbo. i was just wondering if port matching the intake and exhaust would help at all.

lol. i was hitting fuel cut all the time, even without a boost controller. i added a lex afm, and 600cc injectors and i can run 16psi with no issues. i'm still on a tired ct26, but i really want a billet 58 from albert. i'd like to see what i can get out of this thing. :)

my tuner got 430 wheel hp out of a stock 7m. it had a t4 adapter with a precision turbo, and megasquirt. i think the stock injectors were maxed out, so he stopped there.

i have read some threads that say the 60-1 isn't reliable. however, maybe the way they are built now proves more reliable. from what i've read, the 57 trim or billet 58? trim is a better choice. most people will tell you to go with an adapter and a t4 due to the many choices there are out...

just wondering........... is there any benefit to porting a 7m exhaust manifold? i did this to an eclipse i had, and it helped. also, what about the intake manifolds? just looking for small things i can do while the motor is apart. :icon_bigg

it's totally up to you, but i'm not comfortable spending $500 on a used turbo. i'd rather have a cx racing or godspeed upgraded one for less $. my plan is to get a 57 trim from albert. shoot him a pm, he may have something for you.

find out who built it. also, try to get it for like $400. i think you can pick up a fresh one for $600 or so.

i apologize if someone posted this already, i didn't feel like reading all 47 posts. "how can you shift faster?" you say............. buy an automatic.

i might look into that too. there can't be that many rust free 1990 white package, targa supras left. :) i'd hate to have it totaled and the insurance company hand me a $50 check.

keep an eye on him. i was rear ended at a red light last august. i figured i only had whiplash and some soreness,. after a few months i found out i had 1 torn disc and one bulging disc. the bumper held up perfectly, but the impact transferred to myself and the seat. hopefully he will be fine...
