timing question....
i had a friend set my timing today, and he set it to 15 degrees but did not jump the e1 to te1 connectors. is this going to harm the engine? if so, i will set it correctly first thing in the morning.
thanks.........
hey all. i finally got my fresh motor in and put some miles on it. before it blew i had some smoking on decel, and i thought it was something in the motor. well, it's still doing it a bit, so i'm thinking it's the turbo now. i have a spare stock turbo that i can throw on, and i was wondering...
got to drive my car. lol
finished up the motor install. yay
installed an aasco flywheel, mc bushing and new factory rubber washer?, and some mt90.
holy shit, what a difference. well to be fair, my car had neither a shifter bushing or the round one in there. wtf?!
if you haven't done this...
i had to roll mine to fit 18x9.5 +25, with a 275-35. i'd like to have more of the wheel under the car if possible, but that would probably mean custom wheels.
i just ran into the same problem. i ended up grinding away some of the casting on the head. there was no way that i could get a socket on the bolts, even after i made it a thin wall socket. lol
i don't have experience with their ic kits, but everything i've gotten was top notch. i think the kit i got was a cx racing one. everything fit perfectly.
i found them in the for sale section here. i wouldn't hesitate to buy them from drift motion. i'm very pleased with everything i have gotten there.
once my new motor is finished, i plan on getting an upgraded turbo from albert. :) i want to see what the limits of a stock "sized" turbo are.
