I did one piece hardpipes/FMIC because I got an engine set rather than frontclip. at that point I decided that was a good time to do the Tial.. If I would have had stock front mount and pipes, probably wouldn't have touched much.

it's a neat motor.. a local guy had a 600hp land cruiser around here a few years back. lots of money in it though IIRC..

I haven't taken the valve covers off just yet, but by judging the noise the valves are out of spec.. though a few people said thicker oil could help, to be honest though if there's still noise even with GC I imagine they need to be re-adjusted.

yeah bigzavs basically talked me into a 1.5j among others and someday I'll end up doing it.. but I really want to see where the 1j can take me, I think a lot of people are too quick in moving to the 3L. that being said, it certainly is an interesting endeavor as well as a fun one. GL

check the ecu.. first one I got looked pristine yet was bad. second one is tuned and doesn't run the A/C apparently and the last one is sitting next to my bed and functions as it should IIRC.

in all seriousness that movie did create a huge problem, but it may have also helped the car scene out by the hype surrounding it. but in the end I would have rather done without it.

I believe you just swap in the supra shift mechanism (housing) and it should work, though I have been wrong before.

well theres a decent amount of high hp cars using the walbro, so I guess it goes both ways..
