    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Super Advan Gen. II/Series I.. 18x8.5F/+35 & 18x9.5R/+38. From what I've gathered on here, some spacers could still see some use in making them fit more flush front and rear with rolled fenders. If that is correct, how much distance should be closed with spacers? Lastly, I've figured tires at...

yeah, there is certainly a lack of pictures.. perhaps more will show up, though I doubt that mk3 would be at the top of the list.

    1jz help!

I have a 1J so that I can find humor in the fact that someone such as yourself would come into Other Engine Tech and proceed to speak ill of JZ series motors (specifically the 1J).. I'm sure you do not, but I am fairly certain others would see the obvious contradiction there. the OP is just...

thought that perhaps some of you would be interested in this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhdjapan/4275774361/in/set-72157623218078536/ I'm not a fan of some of the stuff, but I still enjoy seeing it represented and such.

it's not amazing.. but I like it and now that it has the kei office on, I just have to decide what wheels to put on. (Work CR Kai 8.5F/9.5R; Advan SAR2; or Work Equips 5spoke).. Also, I need to get around to putting the remainder of my 89+ mouldings on, turbo-A duct and a lip.

    1jz Mods

well, I'm not sure that it's easy.. it's more or less that I got lucky if anything even with those mods sadly. twins are a game that's unpredictable at best, some have luck with them and others do not. so far mine have been good to me and only tend to smoke on decel after these two years. that's...

    What upgrades next?

everything else was beautiful, but I just can't agree with that statement.. they're great at cooling and an interesting piece of engineering IMO; however, once they have an issue—GL. That's why my belief amongst other reasons is to use the 2J mechanical.

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

okay, I am going to revert to polyurethane in that case.. hm, now comes the difficult part I suppose. I went to the mcmaster website but it is rather vast IMO.. I searched under plastics for raw materials with little luck, perhaps you could again point me in the right direction? it would be...

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

well the rears are still urethane as the original bushings are still fine.. the fronts were destroyed through and hence they are now delrin. so being I paid $100 to get the fronts done will there be much of an issue? we have good roads here and I do not track my car or put stress on the...

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

well, I have an update.. I headed down to 1st Place Engineering today to ask if there were any substitutes available besides having to go another route.. After explaining the situation, he looked at the old bushing/mount for a moment and he ended up settling on Delrin bushings that were a...

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

that's something I may look into if the suspension shop can't find a direct replacement.. thanks for the input though, I hadn't thought of that.

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

sadly no.. here are the dimensions of the bushings: ID- .7874" (20mm) OD- 1.3386" (34mm) and shape is that traditional cylinder with the slightly raised portions on either end. I have the other dimensions as well.

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

yeah, on that site there was a link to a local place I have been aware of named 1st Place Engineering, so I think I'll try them out and see if they can remedy the issue. thanks for the link though.

    Coilover shock eye bushings..

I thought the same thing until I measured the ID, OD and length.. no suitable replacements found apparently.
