UPDATE: ran wire directly from IGN- pin on the ignitor directly to the cluster and still no cigar.. I have tried two tachs, two clusters and two ignitors. I suppose I'll just have to go to aftermarket tach that uses a different signal for RPM. It's a real shame because I wanted to use this 1GGTE...
they come out pretty close to the same price IMO.. you can just ease the process a little more by getting a jza70 front clip or a motor set with an R154 already attached.
The only reason I got a mk3 over a mkiv or a kouki S14 was because it was a black turbo 5spd.. it was sitting in one of the lesser parts of a neighboring town, and I paid too much for it then especially being that it was rod-knocked and had a decent amount of miles on the clock.. this car is my...

I did the conversion as well with the natural white bulbs.. the only difference is I used the 74 SMD bulb in hopes of better illuminating the oil press gauge.
First of all, thanks for the reply.
All the factory plugs were swapped in favor of the JZA ones.. doesn't matter though as IH2 IIRC is the JZ equivalent of M1 and that same wire running into the plug is IGN- which is also the same wire running to the diagnostic port on the motor.
The fact that...
