the reason it is cutting out is because when you let off and hit the gas a sudden rush of air goes through the AFM causing it to hit fuel cut. i extended my air filter about 8inches away from my AFM to keep it from cutting out. i relocated it behind the headlight.

check it for cold spots. u also need to fix the temp sensor that is a must. if u are still hitting fuel cut u have a boost leak

first of all if u are venting it into the air it will cause it to run rich when u let off the gas. if u are still using a afm u need to vent it back into the accordian hose just like the stock one. i use a mitsu diverter valve on mine and it is loud. so yours will be even louder. to check it to...

to backout the screw u have to drill out the aluminum plate blocking it. it is on the bottom of the afm then u will see the screw

sounds like to me u are pulling air into the tb that is not being measured by the afm

you are probably hitting fuel cut. does it happen the moment you shift. if so u need to back the screw out of the afm. but dont do so if u dont have mods to support higher boost
