i believe that 2wire plug goes to your ecu temp sensor the sensor with the green plugin. as for the white with black stripe wire with the tape on it there should be a temp sensor below the green plugin ecu temp sensor.
eather the timing marks on the cam gears are off or yes you need to back the cps a tooth back. it will jump a tooth on the cam gears when the timing belt tensioner is bent or the tighting bolt is loose
you need to put the jumper in. loosen the cps bolt. turn it until you get the mark at 10 degrees carefully tighten the cps bolt and then remove the jumper and it will advance it 2 degrees which will be at 12 degrees. do this with the motor running.
it dosent affect anything it is so you can set base timing and then remove the jumper for true timing. the base timing will be at 10 when you remove the jumper it will bump it up to 12 as per 7mgte motor
just want to know if anybody knows were i can get a new third brake light without payin dealer price. it is a 89+. dealer wants like $300+ and it is hard to find a good one at a scrap yard.
check your wires on your afm there might be a break. the semtoms sound like to me that you are having afm problems. my afm went bad and it ran like crap under normal ecceleration and did good under boost. when it went bad it just breifly turned the engine light on. it puzzled me for a while...
check the tps plug and wires make sure there isnt any broken wires or connectors in the plug.
also is your car a auto or manual tranny. i believe the tps is different correct me if i am wrong
i searched and didnt find a way to take out the wing section for the center led brake light. its a 89+ model. i need to know a good way without chipping or scratching the wing piece.
your no heat problem could be a bad heater control valve. it is mounted on the passenger side firewall. mine went bad and i had to manualy unplug the vaccume hose and plug it into the vaccume chamber on top of the heater control valve to open it. as for the 2 wires you are talkin about i believe...
