    Sandwich HG

If everything is stock, then why do you need a 3mm head gasket? Has a significant amount of material been shaved from the head and/or block surfaces?

3mm HKS head gasket is $240 at Suprasport...that's where I bought mine IIRC (it's been a few years). Shipping shouldn't be too much more than that...even international shipping.

Leaking from turbo oil line HELP PLEASE 7mgte

Already did it when I built the block up 2-1/2yrs ago....used 'The Right Stuff' as a sealant not only there, but most of the engine; no leaks so far...and nothing clogged/restricted as far as I can tell in any of the oiling system.

Leaking from turbo oil line HELP PLEASE 7mgte

That's why I didn't tell him to crank it down and to tighten just until it starts to press and let it cure first.

Leaking from turbo oil line HELP PLEASE 7mgte

If it's the flange on the oil drain fitting on the block, either you didn't use a gasket at all, or it could be a warped flange. You'll have to take it off and inspect it. I would get a can of 'The Right Stuff' and make your own gasket with that; put a decent bead around the flange mating...

    Removing power steering

When I bought my car the front seal on the PS pump was toast, so I cut the belt off....thing was kind of a bitch to turn at a dead stop, but other than that not too bad. Pretty much did the same thing when I dropped the new motor in, left the belt off the new (to me) pump....was gonna bleed the...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

yes -- old Honda 750 IIRC from the early 80s....I found it in a thread on here somewhere when searching for it.

Having some issues on a fresh build

NOBODY has any input? I feel like I'm asking stupid questions or something with over 100 views and only two people have responded....I was hoping some of the old-school guys (Mike, J-Dub, JJ, IJ, etc.) would chime in...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Ah -- IIRC, Dodge did a VERY similar color for the Vipers...was supposed to be really close to the 'Deep Amethyst' that they did for the dakotas too, but I never took the time to verify that.

    Vacuum overload?

Just be sure to tee off a big port from the Intake (like the brake booster line)...I made the mistake of using a smaller port as the source for the vac mani and it wasn't getting any vacuum.

Having some issues on a fresh build

Update: Fixed the coolant leak on the T-stat housing...looked like the hose below it was leaking as well; tightened the clamp more and seems to be ok. After that, I tried burping the system -- One thing I noticed was that even after the engine came up to temp, the lower rad hose was still cold...

Pre 89 Front End with 89+ Turns?

Could also go mesh, like the Street Scenes inserts some vehicles run. IIRC, you can buy the mesh in bulk...maybe not from them, but I can find out where. This is the stuff (in my cross-hairs grille)...and if you have a dark vehicle like black, you could maybe do a black chrome finish.

Pre 89 Front End with 89+ Turns?

In theory (at least), couldn't one make a billet grille to compensate the gap and basically 'join' the two marker lights?

Having some issues on a fresh build

I'm not -- at least, nothing over stock boost levels.
