    New laptop time

    Yeah, just about every HP computer I've come into contact with has had the hard drive or optical drive fail prematurely....sometimes both....lol. I messed with a Sony Vaio laptop one time where all the drives in it were SCSI...I thought that was pretty pimp! Fujitsu laptops aren't too bad either.

    FF uses a different protocol for the 'favorites' scripting, so it reads your Favorites folder and converts all the files to the format Mozilla uses and saves it in your Mozilla folder. I've found one of the best extensions for FF is Xmarks...it makes an online backup of your bookmarks in FF...

    While it's good to back up the Favorites folder anyway, you shouldn't need to. IE is independent to the Favorites folder in your profile (Documents & Settings/YourUserName), so reverting IE shouldn't affect the folder at all.
