On my '87 before the paintjob. I ended up buying stockers because I prefered the way they looked. I've still got the clear corners if you want them. They've got some stuff on them but it'll just come off with rubbing alcohol. If you want them I'll wipe 'em.
I think the 7mgte firing order is 163425, on the Powerhouse manifold it seems to me like that would cause excess turbulence especially in the 3-4 runners.
For the turbonetics one, i'm not sure what the internal design is like, but it seems like each side's runners blend together. I also think...
I don't plan on getting a new intercooler until I got ffim, which should be soon enough. I just don't want to fab up all the piping now for the (depending on turbo and how much boost) marginal gain.
As for people who have noise/ringing issues, when you reassemble use every piece that came off of the old one. Both rubber boots, the metal cover, etc.
As for those with the ringing/vibration problem, I put a nickle sized piece of sound deadender (dynamat), the sound on mine hasn't changed one...
I know what my vacuum at idle and decel is supposed to be (and it seems it is spot on) but on a car who's only mod is intake, how much pedal is needed to make it hit 0? I know it depends on the turbo size, but other cars i've driven when you were even lightly on the gas there was 0 vacuum/boost...
The turbo proves enough backpressure, you basically want as free as you can get after the turbo. Also, why not do full 3 inch exhaust? Why do you have it go down to 2 3/4? That'll make a difference.
How much boost are you hitting with the 4 shims? I ran a ton of 15.3's and 15.1's at 91mph when I had my car at the track the first time (with intake, and mbc spiking to 12psi and slowly setting back to 7 by the end of the gear). I finally toyed with the mbc a bit more that day and got it to...
