I posted in SF but drop the diff and fix it! You just need it weld it back together and reinforce it.
I had my two lower ones crack and I welded them back took about 30min.
I may try the 800hp version when I need a new clutch as long as all the problems have been sorted out. Its that or a Carbonetics but that's 2x the price.
I put an new one in mine for peace of mind, there not that much anyways.
I would be worried about the pump being damaged from all the metal going though it.
Again if you get it redone and are comfortable with that then do it. I went for the new as there was no questions down the road...
Just did not see why it mattered, its a fast MKIII. It defiantly sounds like a 1jz but dose that make it any less a feat? I'm just use to the usual no 7M no care attitude that comes up around here. Sorry if I came off as sensitive.
I would take the other bolt out with the tranny still in the car and remove the pivot out of the way. See if you can get something on whats left of the broken bolt. Then see if you can turn it. If you can get it out I do not see why you cant just replace to broken bolt and tighten it all back...
WOW that Silver MKIV moved out hard! Nice to see a MKIII doing so well in an event like that. EDIT: Just watched the first one and man that MKIII was flying, Fastest car of the day very cool.
Those Audi's were sweet to see doing 4wheel burnouts off the line too.
Your new turbo is significantly larger than a 57trim so that would make sense. Getting rid of the CT turbine housing in favor of a T4 is a good idea if you are looking to make power. What size turbo are you looking at getting?
This car is going to be so bad ass when its done, I cant wait to see how it all turns out. Got me thinking about doing one if the 2jz ever gives up or I want a change. :evil2:
You can get a BC enhanced drivers license or a rush put on your passport. I was able to get my passport in 1 week with proof of a trip to the US. All I did was say I have a trip planned to the US and need to get my passport asap.
Would love to see your car down there.
Yes Fuel filter should be a maintenance item just like the oil filter. The older these cars get the more chance they have of getting rusty tanks and clogged filters.
For the $20 they cost and the 20min to change then its a no brainier.
I believe that 10secdream was responding to the OP. Thats cool you have yours figured out but the OP has not so we are still making suggestions to him.
When I had my 1jz and stock ECU I went though 2 ECU's, back then it was not a common or known thing to change the caps.
OP good luck...
Car sounds nice, love the sound of a 1jz.
My set up is 2jz with CP pistons
HKS 264's
ebay manifold
DBB T67
4" down pipe split to twin 3" after the tranny 4 3" resonators.
In this vid I had the AEM and no cams.
