all the grounds in the engine bay are good. i tried jumping E1 and TE1 at the ecu but the CEL still didnt blink. so im almost 100% positive i have a bad ECU. hopefully ill get to test it on a running car today to confirm.

i did that... nothing. still tryin to check the diag. circuit, bein a pain in the ass. the connectors on the ecu do NOT have the lil flap to expose the wires.
well i cant find the black/green wire (W) on the ecu plugs. what year is the TSRM diagram for? i dont understand how the same...
well all of the inj clips are white but i compared it to the jdm harness i have and it looks like everything is correct. re-calibrated the CPS just in case... no change. although it backfires when i stop cranking more than it did before but not every time.

i forgot about that thing. i ended up not even being able to use that ECU so i just used the factory one from the 87 7mgte.
during the day im going to check the isc valve, AFM, CSI and time switch, nolenoid resistor, and O2 sensor.
im betting its something small and stuipd like it always...
yea i swapped a 7mgte from an 87 car (not sure if it was the original engine but had the yellow plug harness and ECU on it.
i used the yellow plug ecu and harness on my car since it was an early 89 and the ecu plugs matched.
