The charcol canister is simply a prefilter for gas tank fumes before being re-feed back into the engine. You could put one back on, or you could simply cap that line going to your tank and get a vented cap. Doesn't really have anything to do with liking your fuel pump.

Don't use acrylic, polycarb or lexan are better choices. They shouldn't yellow up on you unless some contaminent is heated into them. Also make sure they are nice and thick.

What codes is it throwing?

Thats a good one I forgot, well no codes, but the check engine light just flashes constantly, with both ecu's. There is no pause or gaps in the flashes to seperate the numbers. Just constant and consistant flashes.

This is a seriously bad idea, getting them back in correctly and properly would be a nightmare. You can sand blast them with the baffles in. Once you are done blasting you just have to VERY VERY thourghly clean and re-clean them out until you are 100% certain you got every grain. Done it...

I had the exact same issues. I did do the overheat thing to it, without HD and honestly it worked perfectly without any further issues ever from the system. Actually I gotta be honest it is more stable than it ever was before. Never had any issues ever again with it and use it daily still...
