Except for one little (big) small hole in that plan. Remember this guy makes the rules do whatever he wishes, regardless of legally binding contracts, regardless of publicly agreeing to honour the terms of the previous contract when negotiating the new terms. And on top of that (I'm not sure how...
Well, after exactly 80KM of use on my new garret GT4088R, I blew a rice crispy sized stainless weld bead through it. I know it was a weld bead because it lodged into the wastgate and I found it when clearing the gate.
Here are the pics for your examination.
Suggestions on where to get it...
Apparently the local track some of you may remember me speaking of a little while ago was supposed to be safe after city council voted to keep it 8-7.
The agreement was that the terms for the new lease would be similar to the terms of the old lease.
Well apparently if they couldn't kill...
Oh come on, there wasn't one single thing on that eclipse done in any way shape or form correctly by any standards of measure in existance. It hardly proves or disprove the singe grove thing. If anything I really pitty the fact that they did that to the eclipse and basically shot any chance of...
I dunno, read up on these some time ago and while some of the principles may be sound, determining the exact position and size/shape of implementation of them for each use is going to be very difficult. If not impossible without a massive amount of tests ($).
I say go for it, LOL, let us know...
LOL, Grim, I remember MFM HD and the major pain in the ass they were to get going and fight with IRQ's and all the rest of the issues! I worked at Hindson Computing here in calgary. 5 1/4" floppies, OMG those were huge! In size. I also have a few of the bigger ones still, 8"? I also had a full...
I was in the dealership test driving and then purchasing the car of course!
I own that same car to this very day.
Back then I had just finished school starting to work for sony and move to Vancouver.
So I am the original owner.
I run a Koyo aluminium rad on my swapped MKIII (2jz) and even when I took it out a quick test runs without any type of cooling fan yet installed my temps were always at or under 81c.
Of course I only went on quick little runs when I knew there would be no danger of being stopped idling...
I also thought that soildered connections would always be superior but apparently this is not always the case.
They do offer less resistance and when shrink tubed are more water resistant.
However apparently in a high vibration situation like in alot of area of the engine compartment...
No no, not an upgraded ct26 not at all. Look at the size of the compressor wheel. The CT26 was bone stock. The turbonetic was a T71 maybe, or something like that, it's compressor housing was nearly as large as my new GT4088r but the inlet seemed smaller perhaps.
I would love to show you guys...
I've never had a fire myself but I have used up two extinguishers over the years helping put out other peoples cars that I saw burning at the side of the road.
Don't ever roll without one!
I now especially since my build is new and unknown bug can pop up carry one of those medium sized...
I was sorting through things in my garage when I came across 2 examples of carnage from failed turbo's. Unfortunately failures I personally experienced in my own car years ago.
The first image is from my original CT-26 that came with the car that I had been running hard for a few years up to...
