does anyone know how to paint cars?

Every paint is different. Download the specs for your specific paint to be sure. Guessing isn't an option. I've seen everywhere from 15 minutes to 4 hours. But make sure you find out before you spray. Take care.

    HELP! Clutch/shifting problems!!

I had the same issue and the verification came from finding that I had fluid under my carpet inside the car just behind the pedal. There was no fluid under my car at all. It was hiding out inside my car just under the carpet. Which you also want to get cleaned up really well if is the case. It...

does anyone know how to paint cars?

Nope all the same car. I did alot of blending of my bodywork on my car. For instance in some of the other galleries in my profile you can see more clearly that I have, shaved my door handles, smoothed the seam out where the rear spoiler meets the rear fenders, deleted my rear wiper and antenna...

does anyone know how to paint cars?

This question is a little to wide and vast for an easy answer. The mix and ratios are also completely dependent upon the brand of paint and even within a brand can vary from line to line. I would recommend you start by going through all the youtube videos you can find on the topics of mix...

You know you're a Supra owner when...

When you just love your car! .. When you make it clear to any new potential girlfriends that the never should try to get the car to go since you have had it longer then you likely will know them and they go before it goes! I gotta give fair loyalty for giving me my 20 years of enjoyment!

Apparently we are all centrelink dole bludgers who cant afford the "supra" name

I bet this guy knows/ is friends with the guy who drove the big block mkIII I met awhile back. They are perfect for each other, they should date.

Well, at least we can spell, make complete sentences and practice decent punctuation. I can barely understand what this kindergarten kid is trying to say. Something about being jealous of us so he sits around and tossers his salad on a center link or something along those lines?

    *What ME did today*

Here's what me did today, partially anyways. I'm filthy and grubby, but my valve cover, right side is......OH SPARKELY! The paint I put on them at the begining of my build had taken a beating so I decided to go with a shiney look this time. Way more work than painting I remember now. Too late...

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

The 13.5 is the absolute peak and the log shows it was there for less than a 10th of a second or thereabouts. Look at how sooty the turbine is, it was running so rich that the back end of my car even has a black sooty film around the tailpipe area. I also need to point out the turbo was run...

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

Yup, your dead on, it was the mani. Although even there as I have said. I have to accept blame also. I inspected that mani for atleast 2 hours and gave it the thumbs up. After all my researching and calls and such about this incident I would have to say without the next time I buy a new turbo...

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

Dude, you gotta read all my posts, I am not angry at Garrett nor am I blaming them for this failure, nor am I thinking it should be warrenty. I take full responsibility for the damage and yes I did track down where it came from. My fault. I am miffed about the repair costs, nothing more.

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

Ok, well here it all is then. If I had to do it all again, Garrett BB turbo's would not be on my list of choices for turbo chargers. Why? I have had the turbo at a Garrett authorized repair center and they have verified that there is no damage to this turbo other than the exhaust side...

Update pic, shaved door handles, smoothed fin and clear moldings.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate ALL comments, but of course a little praise never hurts either! :) Yes, there is a manual over-ride for the door poppers and they are designed to re-scramble their transmit and receive signal upon each and ever use for security. It was a nice kit and also...

Update pic, shaved door handles, smoothed fin and clear moldings.

If you ended up in a pinch with a dead battery, ya, you could crawl in through the rear hatch. Never happened yet. But not nearly as impractical as you might think. Besides, the ladies are impressed when you can open there door for them like magic! LOL Door poppers of course! :)

I just happen to have a pic of the side of my car showing the shaved door handles and clear moldings and smoothed 3 piece fin. Oh and the fender vents can been seen too.

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

All indications and logs point away from overheating or much possibility of. Here is a pic of the weld nugget I found stuck in my wastegate. It easily could have been only one of many, however it is the only one I found. I believe it to be stainless because it is not magnetic, neither is...

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

Yup I sure do have a bore scope. I will also go out and see if I cannot get a good macro shot of the one bit I did find. I can also get a closeup shot of a fin on the wheel if you like. I begining to suspect that the one bit I did find may not have been the only piece that flew through. If in...

GT4088R, lost after 80KM of use. Bad luck.

Boost was being limited by the wastegate spring and I was not running a boost controller or other means of boost control of any type. So, the wastegate should have limited my max boost to 8-12psi I believe. There shouldn't be a possibility to over spin the turbo in such a situation should there...
