    I've got some spare time and 2 spare turbos. I want to rebuild them both for the learning experience. one is going to be a stock rebuild, the other a 50 or 57 trim. the problem~ is the p/n for the 57 trim 30377t/ 50 trim 30375t by turbonetics?

    yes. used spray hylomar. works great. i just need to figure out where the oil is coming from, thats causing it to burn. one part of me feels it could be the rings, but i don't think thats the complete problem. could i have cracked the head?

    yeah, they loosened down to 80ft-lbs roughly. retorque was done a week and a half ago.

    we've recently received a cold draft these past few days and car is a pain to start. I never worried about it before because its usually warm here. it turned out to be the 2nd knock sensor wasn't connected. wire had frayed and wasn't making contact. runs great now.

    well I'll be a monkeys @rse. i get a fluttering like a rev limiter at 2k rpm, but i think its the harness. did it once, will be changing the fouled out plugs and inspecting the rest of the harness.

    checked my codes, 1st time around i had way too many. cleared them, drove around and checked again. I'm getting the water temp(i expected that one) and #52 knock sensor. would the knock sensor kill off my power over 4k rpm?

    One of the problems i ran into while putting my car back together was the cps to harness connector. the prongs themselves were slipping out not making contact. sometimes it would start, other times it wouldn't. I killed 2 batteries (constantly draining & recharging) doing this.

    On the drive to my dad's place this morning I got a huge clue that its a boost leak. I've never, ever been able to get 7psi @ 2k rpm in first gear. I've never had a boost leak like this before, so it sounds like i should replace all the pipes and couplers.
