    Its not even that, premium is cleaner, leaves behind fewer deposits. Better overall fuel.. If you have an engine and t61 like that, why are you using it as a DD? lol, do what the guy said and find yourself a beater honda. The hx's got like 40 mpg.

    Is your LS1 boosted? No, I didnt think so... lol Knock sensors are a lot more important on a boosted car where you have a/f ratios, and detonation to worry about, so knock comes into play a loooot more.

    87 on an N/a like mine is perfectly fine, but If I had a turbo'd car (and I will soon) I wont run anything but premium. It just makes me feel better lol

    Also, make sure everything is tight, corrosion free, etc. And that everything is properly grounded (corroison free, etc)

    iv noticed that my voltmeter dips ever so slightly when i have my blinkers on, and the only time i notice my lights dim is when i hit the window switch. get an optima ;)

    Might not have been the belt squealing, might have been a bad bearing in the alternator. Working at a parts stores, people brang thier alternators in ALL the time, and most of the time they had BAD bearings, and also didnt work. Coincidence? :P Just take it off and run it into a parts...
