I contacted Denso when I was doing my swap and got this reply,
"Thank you for your interest in DENSO oxygen sensors. According to our reference material, it looks like this sensor was designated for Japan only, so that's why you're having a problem locating it. My application engineer gave me a...
I tried the LS400 clutch with the 2JZGTE fan and thought I had enough clearance. I got on it one time and lost the shroud, two of the blades and about 5 rows from the rad. Luckily it was a stock rad from the 7M and not my new Koyo. solid mounts might have prevented the little mishap though...
The supra shroud and radiator are smaller that the lexus and MKIV's.
You need a 7M blade and an LS400 lexus fan clutch from a 92 I believe. Make sure it has a fair amount of resistance though as the one I got from the dealer was weak and it spun freely when the car got hot when it should have...
Hi all, I need a different number for the Serpentine belt Part Number 90916-02306. Its for a stock 1J with A/C.
All the info I found by googling shows
Serpentine belt Part Number 90916-02306
*Replacement Part Number - 13568-49025
The replacement number is actually a timing belt number...
I need help wiring up the 1J AC compressor to the 1987 MA70 wiring, specifically the EA2 wires 4,7,8 and 9 that go to the compressor. On the pic of EA21989.pdf the wires are X'd out and doesn't show where they go.
Thanx
Hi, I just finished a 1IZ swap a few weeks ago and would like to install an oil cooler for the engine, I have an old one from a 7M-gte with the lines but don't know where to hook it up on the 1J. I am going to get a larger cooler like the flex a lite.
Thanx
Check the connection on the ecu that has the wires for the cps's, I was popping a code 13 after I replaced my caps in the ecu and I had a slight connection problem probably caused by reading from the plug to the cps's and bending the pins on the plug enough to have a bad connection.
Hi, I just recently finished a lot of mods on my 87 including a 1JZ mod and installed the TEMS coilovers from an 88 donor car but havn't wired it up yet. My question is how do the TEMS shocks feel with the system off?
My car is real floaty and bouncy. When I go over a speed bump it bounces up...
I don't have the clip. I found the clip while on vacation last june in So Cal and the person said it would be too much to ship the whole clip to Kuwait not to mention I would have to find my own shipper.
Long story short, I found a shipper the first phone call, the company with the half cut...
Hi,
Im doing a 1J swap right now and have a question regarding the EA2 and C1plugs. Im using the diagram from 1JZ.com here, http://www.1jz.com/tech/docs/wiring/EA21989.pdf
and am stuck on the C1 plug. The TSRM shows C1 as the check engine connecter for both the GE and GTE which is not the C1...
Hi,
Im currently doing a turbo swap in my NA and have the donor engine but it had some horrible head work done to it previously.
The cylinder head measures 115.3 mm thick and I can't find any references on the original thickness of an un milled head. I need to tell the machinist here in...
Mine has a sunroof top and the headliner is the fabric type with a thin sheet of foam that is glued. It is very difficult to remove without damaging the foam and if you have the sunroof it would be difficult to put vinal around the sunroof motor hump without it wrinkling so you might just want...
Thanks for the inputs. I am going forward with all the work, it will be worth it when done. I just hope the TEMS shocks are durable. I used to go through the stock shocks yearly, my latest KYBs from Summit lasted just under 2 years. There are more speed bumps here in residential areas than you...
Hello everyone,
I have recently come into an 88 turbo targa with 5 speed R154 that I am going to use for my turbo swap on my 87 NA sunroof. The 88 is in prime condition but it isn't streetable anymore because the plate was cancelled and that means it can't be registered here in kuwait ever...
I would say yes to that but would only do it to a quality set like stainless.
The shop that put my pacesetters on over here said they could make me a set of stainless from scratch but the price quate was ridiculous at almost 700 dollars and not ceramic coated. I don't know if there is a shop...
I have a set of pace setters that were wrapped in header tape for about a year till it started falling off from rotting. I brought the car to the garage that installed them and the headers were falling apart at the welds under the tape.
They re-welded the areas but its a matter of time before...
