    my car smells bad! lol

People are literally getting headaches from the smell? Back hatch seal sounds like the culprit for that. Mine had a small tear in it which allowed air cycling from the back to enter the hatch and gas everyone. Compressed air works really well in cleaning up the middle area between the valve...

    leaking coolant!!

It would be better if you put the rad in a tank of water and plugged one end and ran low pressure air in the other with the cap on of course.

    Vibration at 35mph

For your ACIS you can see if its working right under the hood by manually moving the throttle body up past 4000 RPM and looking at the little valve between the intake runners. If the valve doesn't move then the system is not working and you won't get a slight kick in the pants as you rev past...

    starter issues

Ive been having a starting issue too. Mine has been going on for over a year. It wouldn't start after driving for awhile in the heat. Ive been through the starter and starter relay and an ignition switch new battery, now am running an Optima red. The problem got so bad in the last week that...

    fidanza flywheel

I had one installed by a shop here and when they put it on, just like the instructions say, it might require heating by a torch for the holes to line up, and it did, thats why I recommend anyone to have a shop do it if they don't have air tools and a torch. As far as performance increase, it...

    BHG HELP!!!

The smoke is probably just blow by which all cars have and what the pcv system is for but that advice about just replacing the rings on one piston is asinine without machine work and in that case you need to do them all. Without machine work the rings will never seat and you will just blow...

    PROBLEMS.

aj's right, its either the heater hose or the small plug, you can see the plug on the drivers side behind the head. That went bad on my car so I got a replacement and its been fine ever since. Replace the heater hose too while your at it. That whole setup back there is for LHD and RHD cars...

    Pacesetter Headers

yep, thats 0-60 times not 1/4 mile. I'd be embarrassed to make a 1/4 mile run unless it was against a tercel which before the headers and old LSD I had trouble with. I don't know how they got the original 0-60 times unless it was with the 4.30 LSD in the back for the NA's; I neglected to...

    Pacesetter Headers

Yeah with the 3.73 rear end and stock exhaust I was somewhere in the mid 11's allways, after headers was closer to mid 10's. The rear end is now gone and I have a 3.91 and its in the high 9's, which is still nowhere close to new specs.

    Pacesetter Headers

They will have to be worked to fit. I put one on my car and had to have the flange ground, some of the holes for the bolts didn't line up and had to be elongated, I didn't like the Y tube size on the bottom so had it made into 2.5 out to the first collector and the OXY sensor location I didnt...

Few quick questions. Pictures included, dial-up users beware.

Here is a pic of my vac cannister that shows as AJ pointed out has a VSV attatched to the top but the hose goes to the ACIS valve. The one that is in the middle of the pic,the other hose from the VSV goes to the cannister. here is another link that shows the vaccum routing for the vsv...

Few quick questions. Pictures included, dial-up users beware.

The Pipe under the intake is the ACIS valve. If that wasn't cconnected then you would lose some power at the top end.

!!!putting n/a in place of turbo engine help!!

Use the coil packs and CPS. The coil from the NA doesn't look compatible with the GTE computer, and the distributer is only compatible with the NA coil due to the coil wire.

    Wierd light on my dash!!!

It is possible your guage is bad. Ive been driving on a bad guage for over 5 years. The dealer can't even special order one here and Ive tried a few from the junkyard, all bad. I metered the wires from the cluster to the sending unit and changed the sending unit twice. You might have to use an...

    Air Filters? Does it matter?

http://www.simota.com.au/ Im running a simota with the supra adaptor and I love it! There are a lot of sand storms here where I live and it keeps the very fine dust out even. Its also a dry filter so no oil to mess with. The adapter is listed here http://www.simota.com/pro_sport_02.php The...

!!!putting n/a in place of turbo engine help!!

I don't believe its possible to use the distributer with the coil packs and igniter, it would probably work if you use the CPS with that setup. With the NA distributer you would need the NA coil and no coil packs, just straight wires from the distributor cap to the plugs.

    power steering problem

Pump making any noise? bubbles in the resovoir? if the fluid in the system gets low enough the pump will fry and have to be changed. Belt could be slipping but that can usually be heard by a squeeling sound. Also the rack might be going but usually when that starts the steering feels sloppy.
