Had some issues with this motor after install.
Mods are 3 inch exhaust and 440's. I had 370's in there but still had the same problems where AFR's would go straight to 10 during full throttle within a few hundred RPM.

The overheating problems with the Koyo oem were the coolant would fill the overflow bottle and overflow out of that. When the car cooled down the vacuum created would draw the overflow bottle back in the rad but the level would be down. The temps would be running in the 3/4 range on the stock...
If the studs on the waterpump are long enough you have some room to shim it up a little closer to the rad but if you add a shroud you would have to trim some more. When you rev up the motor the blades of the fan will move away from the neck and then relax back when the revs slow down.

Yeah thats a bit close at the waterneck. I clipped mine about an inch at the top and tapered it down about 3.5 inches. I am still getting overheating problems though so I am going to put a smaller fmic and a shroud.
Depending on your setup, yes a different transmission can affect the speedo. They have a set of gears inside, a metal one built into the transmission that drives the plastic one attatched to the speedo cable. The one in the transmission is either 10 or 11,

Those are 3 separate pipes, all different. The first you can get from driftmotion in their intercooler kit for 1JZ's but I don't believe they sell just that pipe alone and its a bit too long anywayz, my new undercover will not fit with the pipe unless I cut about 3 inches from it.

Half moon seals in the back of the head can leak down the back. That's lot of oil loss though.
Its easier to spot smoke coming from the tailpipe at night. When you floor it you can see the smoke in other cars headlights or streetlights.
I would also check the under tray for any oil buildup...
After losing another 7MGTE blade attatched to an LS400 fan clutch ( 5th or 6th) I have finally decided to go with a 2JZ clutch and 2JZGE fan blade from the dealer which I can pickup tomorrow at 10 am. Did I mention the shroud too? Luckily with all that flying plastic my rad came out unscathed...
Turns out the crankshaft was one tooth off so the code was from mismatched crank/cam timing. Now she is good to go. On the way home from the mechanics the temp was up so I will be installing my summer fan clutch.

The pins are good to go, and the harness from tweak worked flawless on the old engine, we will pull the injector first to see if it is stuck before opening the covers.
The Crank pully is a Fluidampr from driftmotion, tdc is right on the first line and the cams are lined up.
The lead mechanic came in late today and got it running, he found a pin pulled out of the fuel relay on the right inner fender so now it runs and doesn't shut off at least.

Just swapped in a 1JZ from japan after pulling other 1JZ and am getting a hard code 13.
The engine will idle for maybe 5 seconds roughly then the code appears and the engine shuts down.
