I know a lot of Cobra's with IRS that drag their cars and still going strong, and those cars weigh right at 3850:aigo: that's a lot more than our cars. My friends 03 Mach 1 weighed in at 3628 without the spare and only 1/4 tank of gas. I've gone 1.95-2.0 60' times on street tires, 275/40/17 so...
8.18@91mph with a 2.0 60 and only 19-20psi on pump! full weight with spare and tools. When I go back, I'll have 22psi and some race gas and no spare and no tools.
It's funny to hear everyone's responses. Before I had the wheels and tires I have now, I was running 1.9-2.0 60's with my BFG street tires and having a blast! I have all the same mods as a lot of you I just have a pair of MT/Welds now to go to the track with that I bought for $300 off a...
I don't think that any car is really built for the drag strip, everyone just brings their car and moddifies it to run good at the track. Quite honestly our cars aren't that much different from Mustangs (yes I said it). Other than our IRS and Tems, but Cobra had IRS too and most people ditch the...
As the title says.... What's the excuses?? I have been having a blast lately drag racing! It is a lot of fun to pull up to a domestic and run with them. My car is Basic BPU and I love taking to the strip!!
You could do a 28x10.5x15 et street would be easier to fit than a 28x10.5x15 Et Drag because they are wider. But that is probably the biggest you could get with stock suspension and rolled fenders.
I'm not familiar with the EMU blue, I thought that it only was for removing the AFM and fuel tuning? But from what they have told me this should be able to control timing. To remove the AFM you will need to buy the MAP sensor harness. The diagram that I have posted is with the map sensor harness.
Great looking wheels Slow!!
If I buy another set of wheels, they will be the Greg Welds because I like the way the spokes are and they are much thinner than the Welds that I have. I'd like to get a set of them and powdercoat the spokes black. I think if I did that with the wheels I have...
Look at my first post these are what I have:

These are nice as well...
Ok guys here you go! This is exactly how to hook up your EMU to the 7MGTE. I have been working with them on this for a while and this is what they came up with for our cars.
I'll get some more details, but they said that this should be able to use all the features of the EMU. As soon as I...
If you look at the first pin out I posted it is different, look at where the battery and power are located in the last group of pins compared to the other ones I posted. They are different.
Honestly, just do it right and know that your motor is good and rebuilt. It doesn't take long for the machine shop to do it. It's a huge piece of mind! There are horror stories of people buying motors. I bought one and after install 30 miles and 5 bearings were bad. I pulled the motor again...
Why not just get yours rebuilt and not have to worry about it breaking or what your putting in your car and have a warranty? This is what I would do, because you might end up in the same boat you are now. Unless your block and head are trashed, then I would understand.
I'm trying to get with Greddy for making a wiring Diagram for the Emanage Ultimate for the 7MGTE. They have sent me one for the 7MGE but not the
7MGTE. I just want to make sure that I send them the correct one. I've done a lot of searching and it looks like the online TSRM has 2 different...
Here is what I got from Greddy, but I think that it is from a 89 7MGE motor.
I asked them for a wiring diagram for the 7MGTE motor so I'll see what I can do, I'll have to email them back.
