    little problem is turning HUGE

With stop and go driving, your numbers are spot on. I highly doubt you will improve on this with what you drive.

    Brakes pads?

I run porterfield rs4 pads and brembo blanks. Pads and rotors work great for street use, they are smooth and quiet, but very dirty. I purchased this combo because I was told the porterfields are cleaner, not by my standards.

    Pulstar Pulse Spark Plug?

Don't waste your money on that crap. I am sure there are some other maintenance items that need to be corrected with the money saved.

    Maximizing tax returns

jetjock is way right. One very easy thing you can do is claim more dependants. It's like getting a raise, but remember, small refund/money owed at tax time. Don't give the goverment interest free money.

    Hella E-codes?

Thanks for the added info. I have never checked the ground side. I will do more testing when I get some free time, although my lights have been excellent, by my standards. I should have known better.

    Hella E-codes?

I have the e-codes with osram silverstars (clear)I have this setup for five years now. Measured voltage at the bulbs is only about 2-3 tenths lower than alt. output. My stock wiring must be in very good condition. Both of my other vehicles had at least a 1.5 volt drop. These vehicles are chevy...

130 watts h3 for fog lights

Preach the word Keith, people refuse to accept the fact. I personally don't care what bulbs and/or lighting systems people run. It's the same with engine oil. Marketing is a very powerful tool. Going on five years with my E-codes, and not about to give them up. I just might put some lasers in my...

    A good read about horsepower/torque.

Thanks for setting my brain on fire. It is indeed a very interesting read. Since I am not a high horsepower guy and enjoy low rpm power (2500-5000),the articles contained will give me a reason to research ways to improve what I already have for a street driven car.

Toyota Stealership Piston Rings "vs" Aftermarket

Do not use your original rings no matter how good they look. Matter of fact, just because it might be a low mileage motor, do not assume anything is within spec. Get everything measured out, either by you or a professional. I purchased my Toyota rings and bearings (I don't know who supplies them...

    weight reduction..

FWIW, I had three differant 87 turbo supras with the rear wing. All had the red sticker struts including my present one. My current supra is a low mileage car that I have owned for the last 6 years. After I lift the hatch about 8-12 inches the hatch will agressively open by itself. I beleive...

    Brakes!!

I run techna fit lines, RS4 porterfield pads and brembo blanks. I cannot comment on high performance use, but for a street car, which I drive modest, is all I need and does work well. This combo is smooth and quiet although The porterfields are dirty. Also use good brake fluid dot 3/4 and bleed...

    rod knock t-shirt

How about a shirt that says---- Rod knock was caused by me because I'm stupid, or ----- Rod knock was caused by me because I don't know how to properly take care of my car because, umm, I'm stupid. It ain't the car kids. Spend your money on maintenance, not T-shirts.

Help needed: OEM stereo wiring, just about hooked up!

Sorry for being late. I really can't help. My radio came out of a 95, I think. It was mostly plug and play, although, I just remembered, I had to extend the harness so I could place the amp where I could hide it. One of the wires that I switched was either blk/red or the opposite for the...

I will get back to the post. Let me pull my manuals out. Anyway, plug it in and see what happens. maybe that wire is unneeded for your application.

Help needed: OEM stereo wiring, just about hooked up!

That radio and amp is the exact system I put in my car about three years ago. My car is a 87 and for the most part, it was plug and play. I had to switch two wires around so the antenna would work as stock. It still works great today, as far as a stock system can with upgraded speakers. Power it...

    My Areomotive AFPR self adjusts...WHY?

Is this gauge mounted under the hood, and is it liquid filled? If you answer yes to these questions, your condition is normal. The pressure readings on this type of gauge will vary when hot/warm.
