When we started my engine after her rebuild last year, it took some time to build oil pressure. I also had the CPS a tooths off so it wouldn't start and I got no pressure just by cranking it using the starter.
Even after the engine started, it took a second of 3 before I got good oil pressure...
Check your codes fist.
Idle stall is mostly because of a failing TPS or ISC valve. Check them first.
It's all in the TSRM.
Also check your timing.
As for the boost spikes, check for vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks can cause that as well as idle stalling/hesitation.
I had about thesame thing and the problem was the tiny little 90 degrees hose which connects the waterpump to the tubes from the heater.
It's only about 10 to 15 cm in size but can leak like hell.
At how many minutes was that?
There is an MR2 turbo, which is dark-blue. It has a license plate starting with 'ng-ht-xx', and in that car is a higly modified 3s-gte engine.
Maybe that's what you mean?

The 7M is not the most beloved powerplant that's available for the supra,everybody knows that.
Not everybody knows that it's faillures generally come from bad use and maintenance (hence: the owner) , not from bad design.
I think everything should be put into more perspective.
