How can the tsrm provide info for 550cc injector fuel pressure ?
I tuned mine on my wideband sensor. 40psi is perfect for me. only a little rich at wot but I tuned it with my safc.
Anyway, stuttering when warm has mostly something to do with sensor signals.
it's time to measure up (and...
Check for error codes first.
Did you check your timing also?
BTW I have my afpr set at 40psi without the vacline on. Maybe you're running a bit lean?
(edit: I have the lexus afm/550cc mod. maybe that's why it's different)
Yes he should be banned.
Ban that asshole jetjock. He gets pissed off after helping someone who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
Forget about all the knowledge and time put in this forum by him.
Forget about the fact that he does help other people and gives good info...
Dark,
If your car was to be an NA the backpressure would have mattered. Turbocharged cars are all about getting the exhaust gasses out asap.
Anyway I have a 3" Elbow-->2.5"DP and 2.5" for all the rest of the exhaust piping and no leaks so I doubt that is the problem.
For me, i'm going to get...
I had exactly thesame problem a while ago.
Turned out I had a crack in one of my spark plugs.
They even were the expensive ngk irridium type. Replaced them with normal ngk (copper) spark plugs (nr. 3330, the colder 88'saab 9000 2.0T type) and my problem disappeard like ice in the sun on a...
Oh I almost forgot:
- Changed the coils.
Anyway I slept on this problem for a night, and I think I just might call my toyota dealer and order new sensors for ECT and Cold start.
Hell maybe even the other sensors that are on the car and might break. :)
Okay so today we worked on the supra again.
what we did:
- Replaced the afm with ANOTHER one.
- Replaced the iscv with ANOTHER one.
- Checked the cps
- Checked the wiring of the wideband sensor
- Checked the tps AGAIN
- Checked some more sensors. pulled random sensors to see if the engine...
Okay this is new for me. :) Most topics about bad idling give info about checking things like TPS, AFM and ICSV. The first two are not the problem because I've swapped them for other parts that came off of a running supra. Therefore it leaves me with the ICSV.
Other topics, and my own mechanic...
Also,
if anybody would have a quick list of where the most common grounds are and if they would share that with me I'd appreciate it very much. I can't really make anything out of the tewd diagrams :(
okay, little update about my own little problem:
Today after starting the car dies immediately. tried 3 or 4 times and every time the same. got sick of starting so i popped the hood and disconnected the icsv.
after that the car started and did not die on me anymore however the rpm varied...
The batteries of my camera are currently charging. I'll take pictures as soon as I can. :) Everything is taped up but I hope it will be of use for you.
To secure the wire-to-wire and wire-to-connector I soldered everything together. That's the only way to get a good, constant and...
Well, I cut the wires from where I measured constant resistance (so I could be sure there was no faulty wire) and from there I attached the new wires. (otherwise I should've taken the whole wire out of the wiring loom)
I replaced about 30cm (as seen from the connector) from every wire because...
Well, today I took the iscv completely off. Cleaned everything and installed a new gasket. Also cleaned the boost check valve that was inside the manifold.
I rechecked the continuity of the iscv according to the tsrm and it turned out that it's all good. When I tried to check the movement of the...
