I have tested the ISCV for proper functionality before putting it in, according to the instructions in the TSRM.
The pintle (thank you sooo much for this word ;) ) however can only move so much using the ecu. 4 pins can move it to 4 positions so the difference in min vs max is no more then...
Okay, since dark006 doesn't reply to this topic anymore, or so it seems, i'll just continue to hack into this thread ;)
The next thing I did:
I disconnected the ISCV and the idling problem did not change. In fact, nothing changed so it's most obvious that mine is toast.
So the thing I did: I...
Jetjock,
I meant thesame as you described above. Maybe it's because english is not my mother tonque. :)
I do not get a code 22 so my coolant sensor is most probably not broken. that's what i ment.
Meanwhile i took a spare iscv apart and cleaned it + tested it thoroughly according to the...
Thank you jetjock.
Just went for a drive and when I stopped the car at my house I noticed there was no clicking whatsoever from the ISCv.
So I guess that's my problem while the ecu does not give me an error 22.
I'm also having the exact same problem. Good idle when cold, bad when warm/hot.
Want to check the ECT sensor as mentioned here, but the tsrm diagram tells me that I have to measure the temperature to see what the resistance should be.
How do I check the temperature of the ECT?
Do I hold a...
Okay thanks for the explanation.
The NSW can be a good alternative. Any ideas on how to hook it up?
because i bypassed the NSW before (here in europe nobody really cares because we are used to drive stick. we never ever start it without the clutch in or in neutral :) ) and I don't want to press...
I'm sorry.
The cruise control does not work anymore since the r154 swap.
I'd like to get it going again. everything works (reverse lights and all) but not the cruise. Even that pesky clutch press sensor is on the pedal but i cannot connect it anywhere.
What's the normal procedure for that...
Hi,
Do you have any information about HOW to hook up the clutch cruise control switch?
I have it on my pedal but where can i connect it?
Can't really find a plug to put it in?
Does the AT harness have a place for it or do we have to splice something together?
Hi,
I recently did the auto-manual swap. It went perfect, and I disabled the clutch safety and got the reverse lights working.
next stop: cruise control!
Anyone got good info about that ?
Not to hyjack the thread, but i'm also currently creating a DIY hardpipe set and I was wondering what the intake and outlet sizes of the stock '89 intercooler are?
Are they perhaps also 2" just like the ct26?
I need to buy some reducers and woud like to have a tight fit.
thanks in advance.
I had that with my HKS EVC.
Turned out I had the hoses coming from the wastegate and the one coming from the turbo mixed up. After swapping them onto the right outlet on the BC everything was okay. :)
hehe lol I just found a picture of my car from before the rebuild and even standard from factory the plug was not connected to anything! I redid the whole wiring loom and let the plug 'stick out' a few inches but from factory the plug is tight to the loom so you can hardly see it.
I attached...
