Hi, I'm experiencing the same problems in The Netherlands. At my work I can access the forums, but at home I cannot. Strangest thing is, the server refuses my connection from my provider (@home) but not my provider at work, wich is a university. Dns servers are all thesame everywhere...

Resurfacing is always better imho. Costs a little more, but while you're there you can take a look at your other internals also.

And... Did a new battery do you car any good? Looking forward to see the 'I drove for a while and killed xxx cars on the way' post. :D

Saltdog, it could be your cold start injector. TPS most probably not. A bad working battery can also cause these problems sometimes, but not often.

So ajusting the CPS did the trick? Cool!

Yes. It threw me a code when it wasn't calibrated correcty. But... I have the supra for a year and the car was stalling all year long when idling, but it took the car a year to throw the code. It threw the code right after i changed my faulty cps for an other one. :)

1) Checking for spark: Pull one spark plug wire off. Preferrably number 5 or 6 because those cables are longer. Then hold it near a metal ground (like one of the strut caps?) and have someone try to start the car. Be very cerafull!!!! Keep your fingers not anywhere near the metal part of the...

Check the location of the TPS in the attached image. And yes, you'll need an OHM meter. With the ohm meter you can measure the resistance in the TPS. Do that according to the picture in the link posted bij Shaeff and myself.

About the cps. Most of the times the O-ring in the cps is rock hard. It could cause oil to leak onto your manifold for sure. :) The O-ring is 2$ from your dealer and it's 15 minutes to replace it. Please have a timing light standby to set your timing correctly afterwards.

Check your error codes and post them here.

Well, you could always do a compression test to be sure you're within the normal specs. :)
