Always (!!!) Skim the head when replacing gaskets.
Even if it's not blown.
Your head will always warp when you remove it from the block, but especially now since your head is bolted on the block now for at least more then 12 years.
Also, after setting the TPS correctly please check your timing.
Because if the timing got set ever with a bad TPS or TPS setting then most probably the timing was set with the A/C on.
Check the resistance in the TPS.
I had the same problem before. After ajusting it my car idled just fine and it's about 20 minutes work.
see: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/fi/FI_101.html
I had the same some time ago.
It's most probably your TPS.
You can ajust it by loosening the 2 screws of the TPS.
Then you have to disconnect the connector, and use a multimeter to measure the resistances, while keeping a .5mm feeler gauge behind the dashpod.
The TSRM tells you exactly...
With a little work you can reuse the connector.
Make some photo's to make sure you can get it back in the way it was before you remove the connector, and after that just cut off all the wires, remove all the wires from the connector and re-solder all wires into the connector, and after that...
Because I had an 2.5 muffler already, and the rest of the exhaust was 2nd hand and very cheap. And for the performance i want right now I don't need a 3" just yet. :)
That phone was installed by the first owner of the car. It's a GSM phone so i can still use it now! (Car is from '89 and the phone from '91)
You can take it out of the holder to use it as a normal phone ( :burnout: ), but it's also hands free and even the radio mutes when it rings :biglaugh...

Well okay, maybe not just as restrictive, but as the mod relies on unmetered air entering your intake (and in this case it just doesn't) there should be no huge difference.
Correct me if i'm wrong. :)
If the screw is in the whole way, it is possible that BC occurs before 13 PSI, because it will be just as restrictive as the original AFM. :)
Just take out the screw and the problem should be solved.
Yes it seems to be a simple mod.
I'd do it if I had a A/F meter.
Can anyone tell me if the mixture will be running (too) lean after this mod?
I think it can be as dangerous as a BCD
