turbo goes bad, fins break off compressor wheel, get sucked through the intake, go into cylinder, hit wall, exit exhaust. right? or is this not possible? ill try to get a pic of my bad turbo. although, it doesnt have any shaft play the fins are really chewed up
im hoping that is all it is. i havnt heard back from the shop yet. i guess my biggest fear at this point is a scored cylinder wall from my turbo going bad.
jdub, the seals were replaced, should i have replaced guides too? the motor only has a couple thousand miles on it since they built it. it is also possible the knicked a seal. i should know by the end of today.
the shop says I have oil in cylinder 1. They dont know why yet.. Anyone wanna make guesses for fun? Winner gets 7 fun points, which arent really good for anything
i still have the same problem but i have checked and double checked everything jdub recommended and have had no luck. my car is in the shop now(the one that built my motor) so that maybe they can figure it out. if they let me know something different ill be sure to let everyone know
dont listen to Razoe, you must consult the masses before you make any modifications to your car. it doesnt matter what you like, its whatever we(the forum) tell you to like :slap: jk....or am i?
So i have seen a thread similar to this before but i cant seem to find it. Basically, i want to know how little electronics i can get away with and still have the car run properly. Like lets say, i want to run the motor on a stand/engine dyno(i dont), how much would i have to hook up to make it...
Mine pcv is hooked up and it didnt seem to make a difference but maybe it will with your motor. Its like my problem its getting worse. I burned a quart of oil in less than a week
