the Vf signal is created by the ecu and calculated using the O2 signal, water signal, HAC signal and probably one or more sensor that I forgot. 5 is full rich indeed. increase your fuel pressure to about 40psi (with the vacuum hose off) and see what happens. please allow 5 minutes or so for the...
i didn't know about the rivet in the titan and just slammed it on.
have driven the car fast and hard and no problems until now. seems i have the newer type that just fits. :)
get a volt meter to test for the Vf signal.
That way you can see what happens (what your ecu does) when you alter your fuel pressure.
Also, when the vac.line is on and you rev the car, does the needle of the fpr show an increase in fuel pressure?
Did you also remove the restriction of the...
Everything below 28RA is perfect for the titan / cometic.
I recall people saying that even with a "bad" RA in the 50's you should be good.
I love this HG and have much confidence that it will hold all the hp I can throw at it. :)
Good luck with your rebuild.
I have the titan (actually the are said to be rebadged cometic hg's) and do not have any problem with the hg.
Be sure to drill out the front rivet on the "passenger side" of the block because the rivet can get between the block and the cilinder head. Newer style titan hg's don't have the...
^Agreed.
If you want new injectors, why go throught the hassle of dealerships (where they won't be able to tell you exactly want to know, get wrong part numbers, parts and stuff like that) when you can buy new injectors that are proven to be a very good upgrade for our supras?
You're not afraid...
Is it cranking/turning over and just not starting? or does the starter motor refuse to run?
If it's cranking then yes check your cps wiring. If not... check your grounds coming from the starter.
Mine weren't red afaik. however:
If they are 550cc, and top feed then they will work. Even your stock plugs from the wiring harness will fit perfectly. Most probably they are pintle style.
Read this thread out of curiousity and actually just right after reading a thread about problems with the safc-neo and the karman vortex signal.
There is some info in that thread you might want to check out to see if you're having the newer type NEO without the KV signal bugs...
Why would you NOT get a MHG? I would feel a lot better myself knowing that part was taken care of.
Of course do everything to accomodate the MHG like lapping/milling your block also and not just the head. everything must be real smooth.
You can also reuse a MHG if you buy a good one.
You can...
FWIW I run the High Imp 550cc ND injectors from an early RX 7. Of course with all the other supporting mods. They run great and haven't had a problem with them.
Because of the high imp I removed the resistor pack for the injectors and spliced the wires that are in the plug that goes to the...
1) Get a Metal Head Gasket (mhg). your head gasket will go out on more boost if you do not take precautions. Get the cilinderhead and block milled/resurfaced, slam on the MHG with new head bolts at about 97NM and you're good.
2) Get a wideband sensor. without it the s-afc is useless. You will...
What order did you use to install the plug wires?
some people get the plug wire order and the firing order confused.
from left to right 1-6-3-4-2-5 is the order they plug into the coil pack, 1-5-3-6-2-4 is the physical firing order of the engine.
Well if i'd have to guess i would recheck the CPS first. that's the thing that was changed last time before start so it would be obvious to start your troubleshooting over there.
As poodles said... Did you connect the vacuum line to the FPR?
Your fuel pressure increases along with your boost on a 1:1 scale.
So if you would be running 5 psi of boost your fuel pressure increases accordingly.
That's why you can idle/cruise just fine and have problems under boost...
