BZZZZ, incorrect.
Ensure that both the head and block are level and smooth enough if you are doing a MHG job.
If you're doing a composite gasket, a slightly rougher finish from the machinist's shop is preferable to help seal the gasket. Some Copper spray on the composite gasket can help...
Another thread like this??
Do any of you use the search function on this site? It still works, right? We're not turning into SF in that respect are we?
::Edit, yes it does work...
I slept through the first one, but I have an air bed and I'd hazard a guess and say that that's why we didn't feel it.
I was at work when the first aftershock hit, it was just a short one, but pretty cool seeing as I was on the second floor and no one on the first even felt it.
You guys...
You cylinders will be washed down with fuel more, thus seeping down into your motor oil. The ECU will see the motor as being cold for a lot longer and keep pouring more fuel into it, trying to do the regular warm up to get it to operating temps.
Keep the t-stat in there, if the Toyota...
.75 trim you say?
That be a big ass trim for a CT compressor housing, In fact, that probably wouldn't fit it...
But I know what you meant when you typed it ;)
I don't think it was a good idea to order the MHG before you got the motor in, but too late now ;)
A good rule of thumb is to order your MHG AFTER finding out how much material needs to be removed from the block and head to make them straight and prepped to the proper RA spec for the Brand of...
It's not because of that, it's because he's an SME (Subject Matter Expert on motor oils) along with a mod. His duty as an SME is to squash missinformation as soon as it pops up, regardless of if he sounds harsh or not.
John is a really nice guy to deal with though, I know it's hard to...
I doubt that will work for our motors setup without heavy mods. IIRC you have to strip out all water from the system for it to even work. I wonder what the life expectancy of this coolant is? Isn't this only used in race applications and changed out each time?
Leave it connected, you never need to disconnect it unless you are troublshooting something. Leaving the vac port hooked up will show exactly what fuel pressure you will have while driving off of boost. Just make sure that whatever AFPR you get is a rising rate one, I suggest Aeromotive, they...
They'll kick down a gear or two if you don't have something unhooked inside the car, I'm wanting to think whatever it is, is near the passenger seat. That's about where the guys were at when they were unhooking whatever it was. Once they did that, the person on the dyno manually put it into 3rd...
I've had over 6K before, but when Ian deleted his build thread it dropped down quite a bit. Eh, it's just a number, doesn't mean anything anyways except that I need to get off of here and get my ass back to work before I get myself in trouble ;).
