Best pic I have. As AM3 mentioned, one line goes to the front of the rail where your stock PR is now and the other comes out and connects to your return line to the gas tank. Obviously, without a gauge an AFPR is useless...how else do you plan to tell how much pressure you are adjusting for...
Ya -- the after market elec fans I have pretty much suck. My buddy and I are going to fab a later model elec fan from a Caddy that pulls air like a mother. We'll see what that does for me. Def not happy with the fans I have...
I have a similar problem, but haven't seen it actually "over" heat, yet. Around town driving my temp stays normal -- I have a fan controller set at 88*c (190*F, I have a 190* thermostat) and it some times doesn't even turn on the fans around town. On the freeway, it's a different story -- I've...
Yep -- you got took. Real bad blow-by like that can also mean a couple of toasted valves, especially considering you have a knocking coming from the head. The bubbling radiator is for sure a sign of BHG...and not just a "minor" leak at that. Sorry dude...I'd be looking for the guy you bought...
LMAO...when I completed my GTE/154 swap my speedometer AND tach weren't working. Figured out why the tach wasn't working and I figure as long as I can see redline now, I'm good. Still haven't fixed the speedometer. LOL!
LOL...after I answered "DUH" earlier, I left and thought about the same thing. The distribution block doesn't isolate the ports from each other, so if the AFPR blows it's diaphragm, it's still going to distribute gas to everything attached to the block. I think I'll run my AFPR off the small...
Got it -- now the question would be where do you source multiple vacuum connections to? Tap new individual nipples on the intake? The only reliable vacuum source I have found is the one nipple on the back of the intake. What am I missing?
Is it possible to over use a single manifold vacuum/pressure port? I am currently running my boost gauge, BOV, and AFPR off the vacuum port on the back of the intake. I still need to hook up my MAP sensor...is it cool to splice in another T and run it on the same series? I've tested (with a...
The 3" couplers are made by Spectre and sold at Autozone and O'Reileys...they come with a 2.5" rubber ring to adapt to 2.5" pipe. I wouldn't recommend them, but they work for now until I can get my hands on a pair of quality red 3" to 2.5" step down hoses. The Spectre ones are very cheap and...
Here's the pics I promised earlier:
Tight fit. Had to relocate the oil cooler and over flow bottle. Had to notch the hood latch support --
"3000" pipe to a 90* elbow to a 270* pipe --
Basically straight pipe until it goes through the radiator support down to the pass side IC outlet...
I'll take some pics today. I bought a small stainless coolant overflow and located it forward of my air cleaner on the pass side. I hung the oil cooler between the IC and A/C condenser. The piping is all "custom" cut and spliced with heavy duty silicone hoses. The pipe between the BOV and...
LOL...close, but no cigar! I'm a die hard Mopar guy -- it's my son's '73 Plymouth Road Runner. I have a '71 Dodge Demon (currently in Mopar Muscle magazine, pg 48 of the July 2012 issue), and my daughter drives a '67 Fastback Plymouth Barracuda. :D
LOL...seeing someone already revived this thread from a year ago, I'll add my 2 cents. I recently stuffed a 31x12x4 CX Racing IC under the front of my MKIII. Pain? Sure. Worth it? Every penny, drop of blood, and sweat drenched towel. I bought a universal pipe kit from CXR, also -- totally...
