    Daily drivers!

Well, kinda. i work from home, so I don't have to drive very far, very often. '90 7MGTE, T67, 550cc inj, soon to have AEM EMS and 15-20 psi of boost -- currently running only 5psi. It gets me where I have to go, quickly. LOL

    Gauge Clusters

Perfect! Now if only I can find the picture...lol. EDIT: I did some searching and pretty sure I found the picture. Going out to mess with it now! THANKS! Edit #2: I swapped in a turbo tach and all is good! Thanks!

    Gauge Clusters

Ok, so I tried swapping in a '89 M/T turbo gauge cluster into my '90 A/T NA chassis. I couldn't get ANY of the gauges to work. I had an extra '89 gauge cluster and tried it with the same results. I put the '90 A/T NA cluster back in and everything works except the tach and speedo (suspect the...

    The Inevitable Down Pipe Question

I have no idea what I have -- it was in the car when I got it. I have a T67 mounted on a T4 stainless header and a 50mm waste gate with no pipe on it...so it exits straight to open environment. Full throttle and all I can hear is the waste gate screaming. LOL! The DP I have has no exit...

    7MGTE -- sensors required for a AEM V2

Anyone? I assume there are folks out there running AEM V2 on a 7M...I just need to know how to wire these sensors in. Do they wire into the existing MAF harness once I remove the MAF? HELP!

    7MGTE -- sensors required for a AEM V2

Hi all -- I have been told a intake air temp sensor and a MAP sensor are required before installing a AEM V2 in my car. I didn't receive a recommendation on the temp sensor, but was recommended the GM 3 Bar MAP sensor -- is this cool for AEM V2 on a 7M? Your recommendations for both, please...

7MGTE Compression and coolant loss questions?

Yes -- it's a coolant overflow tank. Sorry...not a "catch" can. It is attached by hose to the nipple on the radiator neck. I just went and bought a 190* thermostat and a block tester at Napa. We'll see what that determines later.

7MGTE Compression and coolant loss questions?

Ya...the catch can is full and not by me filling it. What is a block test? Sorry, I'm new to these cars/motors...I know enough to be dangerous. Edit: Forget the question about block test -- I googled it.

7MGTE Compression and coolant loss questions?

I know this may be a very subjective question depending on HG thickness, decking, etc, but what "should" "good" compression look like on a 7MGTE? My engine came from a wrecked car that I can only assume was good based on the previous owner's description. It was supposedly rebuilt with forged...

    Clutch release/soft pedal problem

A leak is the only thing that will run the MC dry. If the seal bit the dust in the slave, you will have a leak. If the seal in the MC went bad, you will have a leak. In order for your MC to go dry the fluid has to be leaking somewhere -- it can't just disappear into thin air.

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Ya...the stock cooler lines. Barely any pressure in thos lines is what I figured. Thanks! I'll have to double check connectors but I am pretty sure the only connector I don't have connected is B2.... Thanks all!

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

IT RUNS! Finished up the exhaust and drive shaft tonight and fired her up. Started right up on a stock ECU. It's running full lean at idle, though. As RPMs climb it richens up, but as soon as I let off she goes full lean (AEM wideband is just displaying dashes). Took it for a couple of...

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Ok -- so I'm a dumbass. I figured just turning the key on would turn the fuel pump on, NOT! Took a look in the manual and found the "procedure" to check the fuel pump and it works peachy. Thanks again folks...hope to have her running in the next day or two!

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Grounds are good (checked with ohm meter) and fuse is good. Probably something simple, I know. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Anyone else have anything to add? I spliced on a 90 B1 connector in place of my '89 engine harness B1 connector color for color...I think there were 6 wires left over from the 89 plug and from what I understand they go to the B2 plug (don't have one) and are for TEMS and ECT. No big deal -- I...

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Excellent! Thanks much! I'll go through it best I can and hit some of those members if need be. A lot of the stuff these plugs support I really don't care about -- I just want it to run. I will be running AEM EMS and can care less about the CEL, airbags, ECT (I have a R154), TEMS (don't have...

'90 Dash Harness Different From '89 Engine Harness

Hi all -- I did some searching and have come up empty, so please forgive me if this is buried somewhere on the site. I just installed a '89 7MGTE/R154 into a '90 MKIII that originally had an auto and 7MGE. Previous owner did away with the auto and a 7MGE/W58 was in place and ran great until I...
