Are all the dipsticks the dealers have now upgraded? I thought I read that the in 91 or 92 the dipstick was upgraded then. I just went into my local dealer and asks for a dipstick for turbos of that year, even though mine is an 89.
Works excellent I must add.
I forgot that weather plays a factor in battery life. Here in Boise it gets over 100 degrees many times in the summer and in the winter it's easily hitting low double digits. So there is a bit of a range to consider.
Yeah what's throwing me off is disconnecting the wiring from the actual CSI itself. It looks like I need two wrenches, one on the top nut, and one in the middle (?). Is that the way to do it? If I could just unclip the wiring connector that would probably be easiest, but it looks like it...
In troubleshooting my car's difficult starting problem, I tried to remove the CSI to see if it was all gummed up. The problem is, I can't get it off! I can remove the two bolts that are on either side of the injector but can't for the life of me figure out how to disconnect it from the wiring...

I passed my visual inspection with the mods listed in my sig. My results were very good on the sniffer test, some of the best numbers they had ever seen. The parts were still pretty new however with maybe a couple hundred miles on them.
The HCV doesn't seem to want to open. I can still manually push on the thing and get heat but this one snaps shut immediately, where as my old one would sort of stay open for a little while.
One thing I noticed is that both hoses going to and from the HCV are warm, so I don't know if that's...
Replaced the control valve today along with a different VSV courtesy of tubbie. Same results. Still ice cold air on 85 degree settings. This is frustrating me to no end.
What's the next step?
