I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I'm looking at ordering a gauge pod from HPF. My '89 Turbo has the gray interior. On HPF's web site it lists "medium gray" and "light gray." Anyone know which would be a better color match?
Hey Jeff, is the engine temperature gauge like that on all pre-89's? I noticed that yours has a line that extends from hot to cold. My '89 US version does not have that line, just empty space between hot and cold.
Well, since the 21st the car has progressively gotten worse. It's spewing coolant, idling rough, and has very little power. The turbo will spool but the engine will barely rev. I can floor it and go about 20 miles an hour. My 0-60 time is probably now in the teens.
I talked to a buddy of...
It looks like it might have been just air or a lot of excess coolant in the system. It did sputter quite abit and my driveway has a bit of an incline so I think that was what I was witnessing. I let the car cool down for about an hour and a half then went to check the coolant level. It's...
EDIT: After writing all this I realize I may be over reacting, but I just don't know.
Well my fears came true. I had a shop replace my head gasket with an OEM one along with some ARP bolts yadda yadda. They also replaced the water pump, along with new belts, timing belt, radiator hoses and...
If I remember right there's some sort of hole in the body of the car that the charcoal canister vents to right? I assume I can just snake the tube through that hole and stick the breather filter on it if there is room?
My new replacement charcoal canister is on it's way courtesy of Tubbie, but it won't be here in time for a small road trip I'm taking. The car currently has a breather filter on the tube that leads from the gas tank into the engine bay. Since it's getting warmer gas fumes are starting to sneak...
I have the Titan Motorsports Cat which I thought was just a rebadged RT cat (correct me if I'm wrong) and like yours it performed amazingly well. The emissions guy was a little shocked at how low the numbers were. This was with a BIC dp, and a Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion.
If someone has time will they post pictures of the power antenna in the full extended and retracted position? I'm sure how far it's supposed to retract. Mine does look like it fully extends though.
Thanks!
