Another stalling issue thread, please help, I'm losing my mind.

It wasn't a vacuum leak. It was a bad fuel pump resistor. Bypassed the sucker and everything seems fine now. On to the next item!!

Another stalling issue thread, please help, I'm losing my mind.

Alright folks. Me and my buddy narrowed it down to a vacuum leak after I redid the TB gasket and the idle improved, as in it tried to live longer. Went ahead and redid the intake manifold gasket and ISCV gasket with the gasket sealing spray and went through all my IC piping clamps. A lot of them...

Another stalling issue thread, please help, I'm losing my mind.

I really doubt that is the issue. A, the compression tests were phenominal and B, I don't think bad sealing valves would run so smoothly and then suddenly for no apparent reason cause the car to die. I have to stress that when the engine runs, it runs super smooth and sounds beautiful. I'm 99.5%...

Another stalling issue thread, please help, I'm losing my mind.

Hey y'all. Here's the setup and background info: Setup as pertinent to issue: - stock ecu (JDM, to account for EGR deletion), - stock ignition system (upgraded ground wire for ignitor) - stock AFM/TPS/ISCV - stock injectors - AEM 320lph fuel pump - Aeromotive AFPR - UNrecirculated...

Thank you! Compression test was good, 175 and 180s across the board again. Seems the oil burning is valve keeper related. But since doing the valve seal job, some new issues have arisen. I seem to be losing connection to my CPS when the engine gets hot. The old solder connections I had broke...

For those of you who are curious, this is what my engine bay looks like after about 1.5 years of daily driving and minimal upkeep: I determined that this might actually be oil seeping out of the hose itself. This is a hose from the silicone kit made in China, of course. Not bad enough to...

    88 Blue Turbo restoration/upgrade story

Another few months pass with no significant progress or pictures. Finally got tired of the blacked out CCWs and resolved to return to the raw aluminum, albeit in brushed form this time for easier upkeep: Neat happenings. Brushed the lips with the decals on. Removed the decals and voila...

And here, ladies and gents, we jump several months where I took no pictures. CCWs eventually got tires mounted and installed. I also moved as the HOA at the old place hated my guts (mostly the oil leaking from my SC400) and kicked us out via bitching to the landlord. I forgot to take...

Back to the wheels: Love their lip stickers. Such a perfect accent. Just the right amount of blending in yet standing out.

Stock lip back on Never liked the massive muffle section being all shiny, especially from behind at night, so I decided to plastidip it black. No ragrets. Still retaining the FUN DDP though.

Attempt at polishing the lips even more than CCW had. Their stock finish still had small sanding lines, my attempt to get rid of those did not work well as I don't have any good buffing tools. More on the wheels later.

Engine harness rebuild begins: Blood is shed immediately Test fitting it again to see where I can modify the split locations etc Picked up one of these too. For the record, I am not using this exact one, I found one in pristine condition and used...

Attempt to make the ignitor ground better: Painted the Lexus AFM Had to boil the hose in water to stretch it over the larger AFM First time me and my ex's Supras were together. Oh yeah, that happened too. We broke up because ... well let's not go there...

Supra + Faye = Love. My first build thread. (beware, picture heavy...)

So... I just stumbled across this thread. It's refreshing to see someone else with near irrational dedication to their Supra. No need for me to repeat everyone else's words, I'll just sum up with this: Amazing. Really wishing you the best of luck on your build and looking forward to more...

LoL. So much for updates. Sorry, I've been really busy. Highlights so far: CCWs are almost finalized, bought an R154 and a set of Recaros. Have a really bad oil burning issue, gonna replace the valve stem seals to hopefully get rid of that soon. For other pics/updates, follow me on instagram...

interior color change I'm put please

Alternatively you can use Colorbond paint/dye. It's really neither. Best stuff I have ever seen. Super expensive however at around $15 a can. It's a formula that chemically bonds with whatever you spray it to. On vinyl and leather/pleather it works like a charm without even adhesion promoter...
